This has been resonating in my mind for two weeks. Giving it some serious thought.
I used to do a primitive version of this on my Dad’s dual deck, I grabbed a breakbeat out of MC Hammer’s “Pray” or something and looped it manually over and over so me and “P Wing C” could do some painful junior-high missionary-kid raps.
Man these dudes music is pervasive! I dig the joyfulness and the combo of tight/loose. I know they are getting all kinds of web buzz these days but I have to add mine to the hive (bzzz.) Cool album cover too.
I went to Nashville recently with a bunch of guys who are spending the next year immersing themselves in a music and worship internship. In preparation I wrote my thoughts about songwriting, and ended up with this ebook: “How To: Be a Songwriter (and glorify God while doing it.)
